Coronavirus

Japan Trade Balance (December)
- Exports fell 6.3% (Y/Y) compared with an expectation of 4.2% decrease and followed a 7.9% (Y/Y) decline in November
- Imports fell 4.9% (Y/Y), versus the estimate for a 3.4% decrease. They fell 15.7% in the previous month.
- The trade deficit came to JPY152.5 bn (USD1.39 bn), versus the estimate for a JPY150 bn shortfall

MARKET NEWS
DEWA recorded a volume of overburden removal (OB) amounted to 119.73 bcm (bank cubic meter) or (+ 17:54% YoY). in terms of production, DEWA recorded coal production volume increased to 16.94 million tons or (+ 27.27% YoY).

WIKA targets to obtain new contracts from abroad amounting to IDR 5.7 tn or (8.77%) of the total target value of new contracts of IDR 65 tn. The target is down from the acquisition of new contracts abroad in 2019 which amounted to IDR 7 tn.

ELSA is optimistic that it will be able to book revenues of up to IDR 9 tn this year with the focus of ELSA's portfolio diversification strategy. ELSA will also boost the energy distribution and logistics services segment and improve upstream oil and gas services, especially seismic surveys and Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) & Operation and Maintenance (OM).
